Day 1: Flight, USA – Rio de Janeiro
Depart on an overnight flight from your gateway city to Rio de Janeiro, A Cidade Maravilhosa — the Marvelous City.

Day 2, Rio de Janeiro
After arrival in Rio, transfer from the airport and get settled into your hotel. This afternoon from the Laranjeiras neighborhood, board a cog railway and ascend Corcovado Mountain, reaching the peak where the statue of Christ the Redeemer (voted one of the Seven Wonders of the World) overlooks the city from a height of 2,300 feet. Enjoy the panoramic view of Rio including its famous beaches and Guanabara Bay. Your return will bring you through the lush Tijuca Forest, the world’s largest urban forest. (B)

Day 3, Rio de Janeiro
This morning from the base of Sugar Loaf Mountain in the Urca neighborhood, board a cable car for a two-step journey to the top of Sugar Loaf. Enjoy splendid views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, Corcovado Mountain, Copacabana beach, Santa Cruz fortress, and more.(B)

Day 4, Rio de Janeiro
Today, optional sightseeing includes Angra dos Reis Schooner Cruise with lunch. Board a typical Brazilian schooner in the morning in Angra, and cruise the clear waters among the hundreds of islands south of Rio, stopping for swimming and lunch. Or as another option, ride up into the mountains into the cool moutain air outside of Rio to visit the Imperial Museum in Petropolis, the summer residence of Emperor D. Pedro II. Or, visit Rio's legendary Maracanã Stadium, getting behind the scenes of the most important soccer stadium in Brazil, learning about its history, great matches and star players.

Included this evening is your night out on the town! Start with dinner at a Churrascaria barbecue restaurant, and then enjoy the Ginga Tropical Carnival/Samba music and dance show with live orchestra and dance troupe at Teatro Leblon, showcasing the many various rhythmic, musical and dance styles from all over Brazil. Day 5, Flight, Rio de Janeiro–Iguassu Falls
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls, one of the world’s most beautiful natural spectacles. This afternoon, you'll visit the Brazilian side of the falls. For those staying at the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, the independent walking tour begins on the path in front of your hotel. If you're staying elsewhere, you will be brought inside the Brazilian National Park, and will be given ample time to journey along the path and enjoy this amazing site. (B)

Day 6, Iguassu Falls
The Argentine side of the falls offers a different perspective. This morning after breakfast, pass over the Iguassu River into Argentina. Walk through the Argentine National Park to the catwalk overlooking the Devil’s Throat, the most breathtaking view of the falls where the thundering water plunges 235 feet to the river below. This afternoon is free. You may wish to visit Itaipu Dam or a Paraguayan market.(B)

Day 7, Flight, Iguassu Falls–Buenos Aires
Enjoy your morning at leisure. This afternoon you'll transfer to the airport on the Argentine side, for your short flight to Buenos Aires' city airport for domestic flights, Aeroparque Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Buenos Aires, and enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure. (B)

Day 8, Buenos Aires
This morning after breakfast, take the city tour of Buenos Aires. You'll visit the colorful La Boca district, Plaza del Mayo, La Casa Rosada, San Telmo, and Recoleta Cemetery - the resting place of Eva Peron.

Included this evening is your Tango Show with dinner at La Ventana theater, featuring a live orchestra and sensual, tango dancers performing an unforgetable show. (B, D)

Day 9, Buenos Aires
Today optional sightseeing includes the Fiesta Gaucha - you'll journey north of the city through the scenic pampas countryside to an estancia, where you'll tour the ranch, feast on a traditional asado barbecue, and be entertained by the music and dance of the gauchos. On Sundays, the tour includes a stopover at the San Telmo Fair, where you can browse antique stalls for bargains and watch dancers, singers and other street entertainers. Another option would be a visit to Tigre, and a cruise on the Delta of the Parana River. This evening you may want to enjoy one of the many restaurants located in the Puerto Madero area on the riverfront.(B)

Day 10, Flight, Buenos Aires–USA
Enjoy your morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport later in the afternoon for your homebound flight. (B)
