The idea of ​​setting up an inn on the most beautiful street in Ouro Preto was so that people could feel how unique this city is. The project was developed seeking to preserve as much as possible the original essence of the townhouse. Originally, in the houses of the old Vila Rica, the wealthier families lived. They used the room (s) next to the street on the 1st floor, as a commercial point, and had their residence on the upper floor and back. Access to the residence was through a side corridor that crossed the entire length of the house leading to the backyard. In these backyards were slaves and animals. Based on this, the architect preserved the winding corridors as access to the guesthouse's apartments, left the reception in front of the house, with high ceilings, wooden ceilings and floors, creating a great interaction area between the street and the people who stay by there reading, living the city. The facade was completely restored using materials and construction techniques of the time (walls made of wood and stacked stone).
